[this isn't a post about KawaiSprite it's moreso somethin on my mind]
don't usually rant about stuff like but jesus some of you guys really need to be more open minded and expand your music tastes.
insulted KawaiSprite off Twitter cause he made a beat that was just a little too experimental for you. if it didn't have hashtag wacky voices & sfx in it those same people would call it the hardest trap beat of the decade
this leads into a larger issue i have with how music is viewed in general - if ANY piece of music tries anything beyond a generic & bland trap beat it gets dogpiled on by so many people. if everybody ONLY made music that conformed to those people's standards, then music would be such a boring fucking medium.
it's what i've seen in subreddits, Youtube vids and even tutorials. basically the music equivalent of the stigma that stuck up assholes have about any art that isn't a true-to-life portrait of an Italian woman.
makes me sad, but hey, at least that means that when people *do* experiment, so many others appreciate it all the more, which is luckily what i see most of in response to music online.
i may change my opinion about certain things here and there in the future. and i'm not saying you have to like the music. call it garbage if you think it's garbage, criticise if it's worth criticism, but i'm just saying. you *may* just end up loving it if you start bein more open minded
